Job summary

Early Learning Company is seeking an assistant teacher to support the Huntey’s Clubhouse and Gro Childcare Academy brands in Michigan. The role emphasizes a safe, nurturing environment, and development through guided activities, with daily collaboration with the Lead Teacher and families.

Schedule is 3PM-6PM, Monday–Friday, with no nights, weekends, or holidays. Requires a High School Diploma or GED; CPR/First Aid certification preferred or to be obtained after hire.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain within designated timeframe after hire.
• Ability to engage actively with children throughout the day, including floor activities and mobility.
• Must meet state licensing requirements for assistant teachers.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills with families and staff.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing the classroom curriculum and adapt to each child's needs.
• Maintain a safe, nurturing environment where children can explore, play, and learn.
• Support children's development through structured activities, play, and positive behavior guidance.
• Collaborate with the Lead Teacher to maintain routines and effective parent communication.
• Monitor and report children's progress and areas of concern to the Lead Teacher.
• Participate in professional development to enhance classroom effectiveness.
• Follow health and safety protocols to ensure a clean, secure environment.
