Huntey’s Clubhouse in Grand Rapids, MI is seeking an enthusiastic Assistant Teacher to support early childhood learning in a safe, nurturing environment. You will help plan activities, assist lead teachers, and engage children in developmentally appropriate play.

This role emphasizes licensing compliance, teamwork, and ongoing professional growth, with a schedule from 6 AM to 2 PM Monday through Friday and strong opportunities for career advancement in a fun, family-oriented setting.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 19 years old and meet Michigan Child Care Licensing qualifications.
• Pathway 1 or Pathway 2 criteria are required as stated in the posting.
• CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and mentor assistant teachers and classroom aides.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate age-appropriate lesson plans.
• Maintain a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment.
• Communicate with parents/guardians about children’s progress.
• Collaborate with staff to implement curriculum goals and management.
• Uphold licensing and state standards for compliance.
• Participate in professional development to improve teaching practices.
