Job summary

HopeTree Family Services in Salem, VA, is seeking a Staff Supervisor to oversee Direct Support Professionals in our Developmental Disabilities program. You will coordinate day-to-day operations, ensure safety, and promote growth for individuals receiving services.

The role requires leadership, at least one year supervising in Human Services, and a valid driver’s license. The position is on-site with travel for trainings and occasional after-hours on-call coverage.

Qualifications

• At least one year of experience working with individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities (I/DD).
• Bachelor's or Associate's Degree in Human Services or related field preferred.
• At least one year of supervisory experience in a Human Services or related field.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record; ability to lift 50 pounds.
• On-site role with a Monday–Friday schedule and regular on-call after hours; travel for training/meetings.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day supervision to DSPs and coordinate services.
• Schedule, train, and supervise staff; ensure safety and compliance.
• Maintain regulatory documentation and support emergency responses.
• Coordinate DSP hiring and on-boarding with supervisor.
• Coordinate medical appointments and supports for individuals in the program.
