Job summary

Qualifications

• At least one year of experience working with individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities (I/DD).
• At least one year of supervisory experience in a Human Services or related field.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Knowledge of HopeTree Family Services Core Competencies and Core Values.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day oversight to ensure staffing levels and activities that promote an organized and positive environment; 24-hour emergency availability for DSPs.
• Make independent decisions regarding best practices, quality assurance, risk management and problem solving.
• Model and promote rights, reporting serious incidents and compliance with all regulations and HTFS policies.
• Coordinate with supervisor to hire Direct Support Professionals to meet individuals’ needs and regulatory requirements.
• Ensure health and safety through scheduling medical appointments, lab work, and well visits; communicate medical needs to families and staff.
• Coach, teach and mentor DSPs; conduct bi-weekly 1:1 coaching meetings and complete timely evaluations.
