Job summary

Lewis Energy Group, LP is seeking a Drilling Fluid Technician V to provide expert drilling fluid technology support at the rig site in Texas. The role focuses on optimizing rig performance, well stability, and solids control, with responsible reporting and mentoring duties.

The candidate should have a Bachelor's degree and at least four years of oilfield experience, plus Drilling Fluids Technology training. Strong communication and leadership skills are essential for success on site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university.
• Minimum of four years oilfield experience and/or training.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical guidance to maximize rig performance and well stability based on testing results.
• Interpret drilling fluid programs and follow mix recommendations for each well.
• Oversee solids control operations and ensure equipment runs per program specifications.
• Inspect and calibrate lab equipment and report out-of-date calibrations.
• Schedule drilling fluid materials and maintain inventory at rig site.
• Generate daily drilling fluid reports and reconciled end-of-well recap.
• Mentor lower level technicians and assist in training.
