GXO Logistics, Inc. is seeking a Dockmaster to lead dock activities, coordinating trailer movements and ensuring safety and efficiency at the Horn Lake facility. This hands-on role collaborates with operations, transportation, safety and customer teams to execute daily dock tasks and uphold service standards.

You will monitor yard flow, enforce process guidelines, and provide coverage to site leadership, applying strong communication and operational discipline in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifikationen

• Experience working in a warehouse, distribution, dock, yard, or transportation-related environment.
• Demonstrated ability to coordinate dock or yard activities in a fast-paced operation.
• Working knowledge of trailer docking, release procedures, and trailer anatomy.
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions and across varied terrain.
• Proven ability to follow defined processes, safety standards, and escalation protocols.
• Strong communication skills with daily customer-facing and cross-functional interactions.

Aufgaben

• Champion operation safety and support dock-related equipment.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for loading/unloading dock activities, coordinating trailer movements.
• Manage and sequence trailer docking, release, and yard flow, with knowledge of trailer anatomy and fleet safety standards.
• Monitor dock conditions and escalate unsafe conditions following procedures.
• Collaborate with site operations, transportation, yard services, and customer-facing teams to prioritize tasks.
• Communicate professionally with internal and external stakeholders, maintaining customer service mindset.
• Ensure dock activities align with process guidelines, safety standards, and site SWIs.
• Support dock and yard organization per 7S standards.
• Conduct regular visual inspections to identify risks or delays.
• Use Office 365 and Google Suite to track activity and document issues.
• Provide coverage to site leadership and Lead peers as needed.
