Job summary

GXO Logistics, Inc. is seeking a Yard & Dock Coordinator to lead dock and yard activities, ensuring safe and efficient trailer movement.

This hands-on role partners with operations, transportation, safety, and customer teams to execute daily dock tasks while modeling accountability and service excellence. The position requires coordinating dock operations in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on safety, process adherence, and strong cross-functional communication.

Qualifications

• Experience in a warehouse, distribution, dock, yard or transport setting.
• Ability to coordinate dock or yard activities in a fast-paced operation.
• Knowledge of trailer docking, release procedures and trailer anatomy.
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions and varied terrain.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate loading and unloading dock activities to support daily priorities.
• Manage trailer movements, dock sequencing and yard flow while ensuring safety.
• Escalate safety concerns and enforce stop-work procedures when needed.
• Collaborate with site operations, transportation, yard services and customer teams.
• Maintain professional communication with internal and external stakeholders.
• Ensure dock activities align with guidelines and safety standards.
