Westwood Professional Services, Inc. is seeking an Engineering Supervisor, Power Distribution to lead engineering teams in creating distribution designs, cost estimates, and deliverables for utility projects.

You will coordinate resources, review work products, and ensure compliance with regulatory and safety standards. The role emphasizes mentoring, performance management, and collaboration across substation, transmission, and renewables teams.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited degree in engineering with 8+ years in power distribution design.
• Experience supervising engineers and technicians with QA/QC focus.
• Proficient in industry codes (NESC, IEEE) and safety standards.
• Strong leadership, planning, and client communication skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word/Excel/PowerPoint/Project).

Responsibilities

• Supervise engineering teams producing distribution designs and cost estimates.
• Assign projects, manage schedules, and review work deliverables.
• Mentor staff and enforce high quality, consistent results.
• Coordinate resources across multiple projects and communicate with stakeholders.
• Prepare and present project status, risks, and insights to clients.
• Maintain records of designs, change orders, and staff development.
• Drive process improvements and collaborate on company-wide initiatives.
• Perform duties of Distribution Engineering Manager in their absence.
