Job summary

Westwood Professional Services is seeking a Lead Power Distribution Engineer to join our electric distribution design team in the Montgomery County area. You will guide teams across small and large projects, applying your leadership and distribution-design expertise to ensure successful execution.

You will mentor engineers, review plans and specs, and interface with stakeholders to ensure adherence to NESC, NEC, ASCE, and IEEE standards while maintaining safety and quality.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited engineering degree required.
• 6–8 years of relevant experience as a Power Distribution Engineer.
• Experience with NESC, ASCE and IEEE standards.
• Ability to lead and mentor engineering teams and manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead multiple distribution projects ensuring alignment with objectives.
• Mentor and supervise junior engineers and allocate resources.
• Oversee budgets and timelines for projects.
• Provide technical leadership and design direction.
• Coordinate with planning, environmental, permitting, and construction teams.
• Communicate project status and risks to stakeholders.
