Job summary

KenCrest is seeking a Direct Support Professional – Lead DSP to serve as the on-site lead at a community home, guiding DSP staff, ensuring smooth operation, and supporting the Program Manager.

The role emphasizes mentorship, household tasks, meals, personal care, medication administration, documentation, and coordination with healthcare professionals to promote independence and safety for individuals served.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of direct care experience in IDD/health related field.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable motor vehicle record.
• Clear criminal record, background checks, and drug test as required by state.
• Ability to pass CPR, First Aid, and Medication Administration training.
• Ability to convey, understand, and follow spoken and written instructions in English.
• Strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Act as liaison between Program Manager, individuals, and DSP staff on scheduled shift.
• Provide expertise and direction to DSP staff on shift concerning care of individuals.
• Assist with receipts, paperwork, documentation, house maintenance, vehicle maintenance, client funds, scheduling appointments, reviewing staff training, etc.
