Job summary

Richmond Community Services (RCS) is seeking experienced Direct Support Professionals to step into a Lead DSP role in our residential programs. You will stay involved in direct support while guiding staff, coordinating daily activities, and ensuring quality, safety, and accountability across shifts.

You will mentor DSPs, maintain proper documentation, and coordinate health-related follow-ups and transitions for residents, upholding OPWDD requirements and a person-centered approach.

Qualifications

• Two (2) years of experience as a DSP at Richmond.
• At least six (6) months of experience at the target location.
• Maintain all required certifications and training for DSP roles.
• Good standing with a satisfactory performance grade in the last year.
• Reliable attendance with no violations in the past six months.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the team by coordinating daily shift activities.
• Mentor DSP staff and orient new employees to the program.
• Promote teamwork, professionalism, accountability and communication.
• Ensure documentation is completed accurately and on time.
• Support medication responsibilities, health monitoring, and records.
• Coordinate appointments and health-related follow-ups for residents.
• Assist transitions between Day Programs and residence.
• Monitor supplies, inventory, and facility maintenance records.
• Identify operational needs and raise them to management.
