Job summary

Richmond Community Services is seeking an experienced Lead Direct Support Professional to guide and support DSPs in residential programs in New York. The Lead DSP will stay involved in direct support while acting as an on-shift resource, coordinating daily activities and mentoring staff to uphold best practices.

Qualifications

• Two years of DSP experience at Richmond.
• Minimum six months at the location where you will support as Lead DSP.
• Maintain all required certifications and training.
• Be in good standing with a satisfactory performance rating.
• Demonstrate reliable attendance and punctuality for the last six months.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily shift activities and ensure duties are completed.
• Serve as a resource and mentor for DSPs, including orientation of new staff.
• Promote teamwork, professionalism, accountability and effective communication.
• Ensure timely and accurate documentation and health monitoring records.
