Covenant Living Communities and Services in Carol Stream, IL seeks a Dining Room Supervisor to supervise wait staff, greet residents, and ensure organized, pleasant dining at dinner service for our residents.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma, dining service experience, and strong organizational and communication skills to manage staff and maintain high service quality.

Qualifications

• High School diploma.
• Prior experience in dining service preferred.
• Additional education and training in management desirable.
• Minimum age is 18.
• Genuine desire to work among a geriatric population.
• Ability to supervise and direct others across varied age groups.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and schedule all wait staff and related personnel.
• Hire, evaluate, discipline and terminate dining room staff.
• Direct orientation and training of dining room staff.
• Set up workstation assignments and duties.
• Maintain awareness of flow service to keep sections evenly seated.
• Monitor service quality to ensure consistency.
• Record resident meal reservations and manage seating and meal counts.
• Provide menu information to residents and staff.
