Job summary

OnShift, Inc. is seeking a Certified Dietary Manager/Dietary Services Supervisor to plan, develop and direct the dietary services department, ensuring meals are safe, appetizing, and meet residents' nutritional needs.

You will oversee daily operations, budgets, and regulatory compliance, working with staff to provide proper nutritional care and maintain written policies. The role offers leadership development opportunities in healthcare with competitive pay.

Qualifications

• Certification of Dietary Manager and/or Dietary Service Supervisor Certification.
• Experience supervising the dietary department in a healthcare setting.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage daily operations of dietary department following state & federal regulations.
• Manage food and labor budgets effectively.
• Attend IDT meetings, patient care conferences; complete MDS.
• Work closely with staff to provide nutritional care to patients.
• Plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate and direct the Dietary Department, its programs and structure.
• Maintain written dietary policies, procedures and job descriptions; interpret to employees, residents and agencies.
• Ensure food is palatable, attractive, and serves residents’ needs; served at proper temperatures.
• Provide substitutes with similar nutritive value when residents refuse foods.
• Maintain accurate records and tray tickets for all residents.
• Post menus with dates; adjust as content changes.
• Set the budget for the dietary department.
• Purchase food and supplies within budget.
• Interview residents/families to obtain diet history and evaluate meal quality.
• Assist in tracking expenses and menu planning.
