Job summary

Imperialcarecenter is seeking a qualified Certified Dietary Manager/Dietary Services Supervisor to plan, develop and direct the Dietary Services Department, ensuring safe, appetizing meals that meet residents' nutritional needs.

You will oversee daily operations in accordance with federal, state and local standards, manage budgets, attend care planning meetings, and work closely with staff to provide compassionate, patient-focused dietary care in a healthcare setting.

Qualifications

• Certification as Dietary Manager and/or Dietary Service Supervisor required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage daily operations of dietary department following State & Federal regulations
• Manage food and labor budgets effectively
• Attend IDT meetings, patient care conferences; complete MDS
• Work closely with staff to provide nutritional care to patients
• Plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate, and direct the Dietary Department and its programs
• Develop and maintain written dietary policies and procedures; interpret to employees, residents, visitors, government agencies as necessary
• Ensure food served is palatable, attractive and meets residents' nutritional needs
• Ensure proper food temperatures and substitute nutritionally equivalent foods when needed
• Maintain accurate records and tray tickets for all residents
• Post menus with dates at least one week in advance and adjust as content changes
• Set the budget for the dietary department
• Purchase food and supplies within budgetary guidelines
• Interview residents or family members to obtain diet history and maintain ongoing communication to evaluate quality of meals
• Assist in tracking expenses and menu planning
• Other duties may be assigned
