Job summary

SLP Operations, LLC seeks a Dietary Manager to oversee the Dietary Department in a long-term care setting. You will supervise staff, manage menus, orders, and sanitation while ensuring compliance with policies and regulations.

You will collaborate with the Dietitian and department heads to plan meals within budget, participate in resident care planning, and lead orientation and ongoing staff training. Evening, weekend, or on-call shifts may be required.

Qualifications

• Must hold or be capable of requiring certificates required by the State.
• Healthcare food service experience preferred; long-term care experience a plus.
• Able to interact positively with residents, families, and regulatory agencies; work collaboratively with employees at all levels.
• Must be able to maintain consistent attendance and be willing to work long or irregular hours, often under pressure.
• Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

• Supervises dietary staff in day-to-day operations of the Dietary Department.
• Establishes priorities and job assignments; orients new employees; participates in recruitment and selection activities.
• Communicates expectations, provides guidance and coaching, monitors work performance, delivers feedback, evaluates staff performance, and administers corrective action as necessary.
