Job summary

OPCO Skilled Management is seeking a capable Dietary Manager to lead the dietary department in a long-term care setting. You will plan, direct, and supervise nutrition services, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations while delivering safe, nutritious meals to residents.

The role emphasizes leadership, team coordination with the Registered Dietitian and Administrator, budget awareness, and accurate documentation of nutrition care.

Qualifications

• CDM/CFPP/DTR certification or equivalent training.
• Associate’s or higher degree in food service management or hospitality.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Food service supervisory experience; 2+ years in long-term care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of nutrition services within the dietary department.
• Provide leadership to ensure food quality, safety standards, and resident satisfaction.
• Coordinate nutrition care under the direction of a Registered Dietitian and Administrator.
• Use forecasts, inventory, and records to plan purchases of food, supplies, and equipment.
• Participate in department budget planning and report monthly to administrator.
• Communicate with dietitians, nursing, dietary staff, residents, and families about nutrition care.
• Review diet plans and adapt meals to resident needs and preferences.
• Maintain resident data in eKardex and other systems; document progress notes.
