OPCO Skilled Management in Missouri is seeking a dietary department supervisor to manage the overall functions of the dietary department, ensuring the provision of quality food service and nutritional care in a skilled nursing facility.

The role emphasizes safe food handling, menu changes, adherence to standardized recipes, and leadership of dietary staff; you will collaborate with the food service director and participate in departmental meetings and policy development.

Formación

• Must have state-regulated food safety certification.
• Dietary manager training program preferred.
• Two to three years of supervisory experience in hospital or long-term care dietary department desirable.

Responsabilidades

• Manage the overall functions of the dietary department to ensure quality food service and nutritional care.
• Assist with food ordering, storage and preparation as designated by the food service director.
• Make and record menu changes under the direction of the food service director.
• Ensure safe food handling techniques are used.
• Maintain standards for food preparation and quality of food service; use nutritionally equivalent substitutes when required.
• Assure that dietary staff follows standardized recipes.
• Attend and participate in staff meetings; attend departmental head meetings and other center meetings as required
• Assist in developing and updating departmental procedures and policies.
• Work dietary staff job routines when assigned or as needed.
• Perform miscellaneous work assignments as needed
