Job summary

Penske Truck Leasing is seeking an experienced Technician to perform preventive maintenance and repairs on a diverse fleet. The role involves diagnosing and servicing engines, transmissions, and other major components, while maintaining safety and reliability.

As a lead technician, you will mentor others, work independently, and participate in Penske’s comprehensive training programs. A stable schedule and opportunities for growth are offered at the Zanesville location.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred.
• Experience with truck and tractor-trailer maintenance is required or strongly preferred.
• Welding equipment, diagnostic equipment, and hand/power tools familiarity required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair trucks and trailers to ensure safe operation for customers.
• Perform preventive maintenance with limited supervision and timely execution.
• Diagnose and repair major components (engines, transmissions, differentials).
• Keep work area clean and safe.
• Learn Penske’s technician training and apply it on the job.
• Collaborate with supervisor on additional tasks as needed.
