Job summary

Penske Truck Leasing is seeking a skilled Technician I for the Omaha, NE area. You will maintain and repair a diverse fleet, perform preventive maintenance, and diagnose issues to ensure safe, roadworthy vehicles for customers.

As a lead technician, you’ll mentor teammates, work with Penske technology, and continuously train on OEM equipment. The role emphasizes safety, reliability, and opportunities for growth within a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• 6 years of practical experience with truck and tractor-trailer maintenance.
• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational or technical certification preferred.
• ASE Certification and 608/609 certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and service vehicles to keep them safe for customers.
• Perform preventive maintenance with minimal supervision.
• Repair engines, transmissions, and differentials; replace assemblies as needed.
• Log repairs using Penske tools and tech, and conduct basic diagnostics.
• Learn and apply Penske training to stay current with OEM tech.
• Work on various projects as assigned by supervisor.
