Job summary

Penske Truck Leasing Co., L.P. seeks an experienced Technician I at our Concord, NC location to perform maintenance and repairs on a diverse fleet.

You will diagnose, repair, and service trucks and trailers, leading by example while mentoring teammates and prioritizing safety. You will work with advanced tools and techniques, participate in Penske’s technician training program, and contribute to a culture of reliability and high-quality service.

Qualifications

• 6 years of practical experience with truck and tractor-trailer maintenance.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred.
• Specialized training in diagnosis/troubleshooting of major components (engines, transmissions, differentials); ASE Certification and 608/609 (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair vehicles to ensure safety for customers.
• Perform preventive maintenance with minimal supervision and timely execution.
• Repair and troubleshoot major components (engines, transmissions, differentials); replace assemblies and related parts.
• Keep work area clean and safe.
• Use Penske tools to log, research and complete repairs; perform basic vehicle diagnostics.
• Learn new skills through Penske technician training.
• Take on additional projects as assigned by supervisor.
