Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and 1–2 years automotive or diesel repair experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to use tools safely.
• Strong problem-solving and customer service skills.
• Ability to work in a team and outside, with good communication.
• DOT/OSHA safety policies and background/drug screening required.

Responsibilities

• Make sure vehicles are maintained and safe for customers.
• Use Penske tools and technologies to log, research and complete repairs, including basic vehicle diagnostics.
• Perform preventative maintenance (tires, lubrication, some electrical and cooling work on gas/diesel engines).
• Learn new skills with manager coaching and Penske technician training.
• Handle other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor.
