Job summary

Penske Truck Leasing in Concord, NC is seeking an entry-level Diesel Technician/Mechanic III. You will perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs on a diverse fleet, learning Penske's maintenance processes and safety standards to keep vehicles on the road.

You’ll work with experienced supervisors and master technicians, use Penske’s tools and diagnostics, and receive industry-certified training designed to grow your career in a stable, supportive environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and 1-2 years of automotive or diesel repair experience preferred.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work well in a team and outdoors.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and ensure vehicles are safe and ready for customers.
• Use Penske tools to log, research and complete repairs, including basic diagnostics.
• Perform preventative maintenance such as tire rotation, lubrication, and cooling system checks on gas and diesel vehicles.
• Learn new skills through Penske's technician training and coaching.
• Handle other projects as assigned by supervisor.
