Job summary

Penske Truck Leasing is hiring a Technician in Concord, NC to perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs on a diverse fleet. You’ll diagnose issues, rotate tires, and use Penske tools to keep vehicles on the road.

We provide industry‑leading training, safety coaching, and opportunities for growth. A high school diploma and 1–2 years in vehicle repair are preferred, with valid DL and DOT compliance required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred.
• 1-2 years of automotive or diesel repair experience preferred.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Ability to solve problems and use tools.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work as part of a team and outdoors.
• Basic computer skills.
• Compliance with Penske safety, DOT, and OSHA policies.
• Willingness to travel within local geography for training.

Responsibilities

• Make sure vehicles are maintained and safe.
• Use Penske’s tools to log, research and complete repairs.
• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on gas and diesel engines.
• Assist with electrical system repairs and cooling maintenance.
• Learn skills through technician training and hands-on coaching.
• Collaborate with supervisor on additional tasks.
