Transdev in San Marcos, Texas is seeking a highly skilled Diesel Mechanic to diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel engines across a range of vehicles and equipment. You will lead maintenance tasks, collaborate with A-Level mechanics, and ensure safety and reliability of our fleet.

With a CDL-B and ASE certifications preferred, applicants should have 3+ years of diesel experience, strong diagnostic abilities, and a proven ability to mentor junior technicians in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience as a diesel technician with diesel engine diagnostics and repairs.
• Strong leadership and supervisory skills with ability to manage a team.
• CDL-B with passenger endorsement or expected within 3 months of hire.
• ASE certification preferred; participate in ASE testing within 1 year; plan for 3 ASE certs within 12 months.

Responsabilités

• Conduct diagnostic tests using advanced tools and software to troubleshoot diesel engine issues.
• Perform moderate to advanced repairs and replacements on diesel engine components.
• Assist senior mechanics in diagnostics and repairs; mentor junior technicians.
• Execute routine maintenance to prevent breakdowns and optimize performance.
• Lead diagnostic tests and determine comprehensive repair strategies for diesel engines.
• Overhaul and rebuild diesel engine components to specifications.
• Contribute to safe, efficient operations by following policies and procedures.
