Job summary

Transdev North America in Houston, TX is seeking a Maintenance Technician B to diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel engines across diverse fleet equipment. This role emphasizes safety, efficiency, and longevity of our vehicles.

The position offers an hourly wage of $30.00–$35.00 with benefits including vacation, sick days, holidays, 401(k) and comprehensive insurance options. DOT testing and ASE support are part of the program.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience as a Diesel Mechanic.
• ASE certifications required; program provided.
• DOT drug testing and physical may apply.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair diesel engine issues using advanced tools and software.
• Perform moderate‑complexity repairs and replacements on diesel engine components.
• Assist senior mechanics with advanced diagnostics and repairs.
• Carry out routine maintenance to prevent breakdowns and optimize performance.
• Lead diagnostic tests and determine repair strategies for diesel engines.
• Overhaul and rebuild components to required specifications.
• Provide mentorship to junior technicians.
• Other duties as required.
