Leidos is seeking a Senior DevSecOps Platform Engineer to lead the design and evolution of secure software delivery platforms. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field; 8–12 years of relevant experience (or Master's with 6–10 years).
• Extensive experience designing, implementing, and administering enterprise CI/CD platforms for large-scale software.
• Advanced experience developing and administering GitLab CI/CD pipelines, runners, templates, and deployment workflows.
• Extensive experience administering GitLab repositories, merge requests, branching, permissions, and platform governance.
• Extensive experience IaC using Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or similar tools.
• Advanced experience deploying containerized apps (Docker, Kubernetes) using Helm, GitOps, or related tools.
• Experience automating with Bash, Python, or similar scripting languages.
• Experience supporting AWS cloud services and cloud-native deployments.
• Deep knowledge of software supply chain security, secrets management, dependency management, and secure SDLC practices.
• Experience integrating automated testing, quality gates, compliance validation, and security scanning into CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Lead the engineering, administration, and continuous improvement of the GitLab platform, including projects, groups, runners, and permissions.
• Establish enterprise CI/CD standards through reusable pipeline templates, libraries, and deployment workflows.
• Drive automated application security, software supply chain security, and compliance validation across the CI/CD lifecycle, including SAST, SCA, container scanning, and IaC scanning.
• Develop standardized deployment patterns for Kubernetes apps using GitOps, Helm, and progressive deployment techniques.
• Administer GitLab Container Registry, artifact repositories, and dependency management platforms.
• Collaborate with Cloud Systems Owners to ensure cloud platforms support automated deployment, scalability, resilience, and reliability.
• Improve build performance, deployment reliability, release quality, and developer productivity via automation and self-service tooling.
• Mentor DevSecOps engineers; establish engineering standards and governance across pipelines and platforms.
• Evaluate emerging DevSecOps tech, AI-assisted engineering, and automation techniques to boost productivity and security.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies while providing technical leadership across multiple software teams.
