Job summary

M.C. Dean, Inc. in Tysons, VA seeks a Design Engineer 3 for its Security and Electronic Systems (SES) unit to design, engineer, integrate, and sustain advanced security solutions for federal, local, and commercial customers.

You will lead regional engineering efforts, translate customer needs into scalable designs, and work with systems like intrusion detection, access control, biometrics, video surveillance, and IT systems on high-availability projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in System Engineering or related field with 5+ years of similar scope.
• Requires ability to obtain Top Secret clearance.
• Experience with physical security systems and IT solutions.

Responsibilities

• Define design scope and deliver high quality security design solutions.
• Review RFPs, SOWs and client specs for new bids.
• Develop BOMs and forecast engineering time for bids.
• Create deployment plans, test plans, and commissioning scripts.
• Lead complex projects and mentor teams to design excellence.
• Collaborate with clients, partners, and internal teams on solutions.
