Job summary

M.C. Dean, Inc. is seeking a Senior Physical Security Engineer to join the Security and Electronic Systems (SES) unit.

You will design, integrate, and maintain electronic security services including access control, intrusion detection, and video surveillance for federal, local, and commercial clients. Responsibilities include system performance analysis, troubleshooting, and on-site support. The role requires deep knowledge of VMS/CCTV platforms such as Bosch, Milestone, Genetec, and the ability

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree with 7+ years experience or Master’s Degree with 5+ years experience.
• System administrator experience in triage, problem resolution, and extending workstations/system
• Vendor certifications for electronic systems preferred.
• Travel CONUS and OCONUS required.
• Expertise in VMS/CCTV systems (Bosch, Milestone, Genetec) is required.
• Knowledge of Electrical Security Systems (ACS, PSIM, PIDS, IDS)
• System architecture/design experience required; ability to obtain IAT Level II Certification.

Responsibilities

• Analyze system performance and recommend improvements.
• Troubleshoot and resolve system problems; assist with administration and engineering teams.
• Communicate with customers, manufacturers, vendors, and system admins.
• Train system users and support personnel.
• Prepare documentation of system performance and service requests.
• Coordinate with field personnel and engineering to address installation issues.
• Read blueprints, SOWs, and engineering drawings; ensure design efficiency and interoperability.
