Job summary

McFarland Construction US is seeking a Project Manager for commercial construction in Raleigh, NC. The role covers full project lifecycle from preconstruction to closeout, driving safety, timeliness, and budget adherence. This is a design/build leadership position requiring field and office oversight.

The ideal candidate brings 5+ years of PM experience, a construction management degree, and proficiency with Procore and Microsoft Project. Travel may be required as part of project delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management preferred.
• 5+ years of project management experience.
• Design/build experience preferred.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, Outlook, and Microsoft Project.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Preconstruction and field supervision to prepare, review, and monitor project costs.
• Finalizes and manages project budgets.
• Understand owner’s contract requirements including bonds, fees, and schedules.
• Participate in owner meetings to review scope and suggest value engineering.
• Manage subcontracting process from scope review to final execution.
• Plan site operations and schedule intermediate phases to meet deadlines.
• Review contract documents with stakeholders to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.
• Coordinate subcontractors and suppliers to meet schedules.
• Maintain safety and a respectful work environment with programs for safety, EEO, and quality control.
