Job summary

US Foods is seeking a Delivery Driver Lead/Trainer to onboard and mentor new drivers, lead safety initiatives, and ensure on-time deliveries. You will train staff on policies, monitor compliance, and visit customer sites to assess delivery feasibility.

The role requires a CDL Class A, at least 21, strong English communication, and six months of driving experience, with a focus on safety and customer service.

Qualifications

• Must register to the FMCSA Clearinghouse.
• CDL Class A license required with DOT qualifications.
• Minimum six months of commercial driving experience.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Ability to read/communicate in English.

Responsibilities

• Conduct classroom onboarding for new drivers.
• Train and mentor drivers on policies and procedures.
• Lead safety-focused initiatives with the Safety Performance Team.
• Perform customer site visits to assess delivery feasibility.
• Drive trucks to customers and ensure on-time deliveries.
• Unload products and verify delivery accuracy with signatures.
• Provide customer service and handle payments when needed.
