Job summary

US Foods is seeking a Driver Lead/Trainer to onboard new drivers, emphasize safety, and mentor staff. You will conduct site visits, partner with night warehouse teams, and perform post-accident retraining to improve performance.

The role requires a CDL Class A, FMCSA Clearinghouse registration, and at least six months of driving experience. Strong English communication and safety mindset are essential.

Qualifications

• Six months of commercial driving experience required.
• Must be able to read and communicate in English.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• CDL Class A with necessary endorsements and DOT qualifications.
• Register to FMCSA Clearinghouse (required by DOT).

Responsibilities

• Conduct classroom onboarding for new drivers.
• Participate in Safety Performance Team and emphasize safety.
• Train and mentor new drivers on policies and monitor compliance.
• Perform customer site visits to assess delivery feasibility.
• Partner with Night Warehouse Supervisors on safety visuals and demonstrations.
• Lead post-accident ride-alongs to identify root causes and retraining needs.
• Complete mandated trainings including US Foods Driver Onboarding.
• Safely drive trucks to customers and meet delivery times.
• Unload products and verify delivery with customers; obtain signatures.
• Handle collections and payments when applicable; provide customer service.
