Job summary

Global Partners LP in Vermont is seeking a fresh foods supervisor to direct the deli/food service department and its staff to meet merchandising, sales and customer service goals. The role requires at least 2 years in food service management and a passion for food and helping customers.

The position involves coaching, scheduling, and ensuring safety and quality standards while maintaining inventory and merchandising standards in a busy retail environment.

Qualifications

• Two years prior experience in a fresh foods environment, preferably in a management role.

Responsibilities

• Directing department personnel, meeting department’s goals and objectives, communicating with store management and department supervisors.
• On-boarding and coaching all new team members.
• Scheduling all team members.
• Engaging with customers through smiles and greetings and providing product information and selling suggestions.
• Taking customer orders and ensuring complete and on-time fulfillment.
• Ensuring department personnel follow food safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Ordering products and supplies to maintain stock and merchandising levels.
• Overseeing deli/food service preparation and merchandising of items like breakfast, lunch, dinner entrees, pizzas, salads, soups, sandwiches, beverages and snacks.
• Rotating and merchandising items and maintaining quality and safety.
• Completing paperwork accurately and promptly.
• Processing cash transactions and refunds, and using scales/printers correctly.
