Job summary

Google Sunnyvale is seeking a Lead Data Center Systems Architect to shape the next-generation facility designs for ultra-high-density AI/ML platforms. You will translate compute roadmaps into robust, scalable data hall architectures, defining physical row layouts, high-power busways, power taps, and direct liquid-cooling interfaces for massive deployments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 10 years of experience in mission-critical facility design and construction environments.
• Preferred: Master's degree or Professional Engineer license.
• Experience with substations, switchgear, ATP/ATS, and emergency power systems.
• Experience with high voltage substations and distribution systems.
• Experience with data center equipment and environments.
• Experience with medium voltage systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop and own comprehensive data center facility designs, system-level specifications, and physical/electrical topology plans from concept through detailed design.
• Formulate multi-generation infrastructure evolution roadmaps for power growth, deployment timelines, and sustainability goals.
• Lead end-to-end physical infrastructure integration for ultra-high-density AI/ML platforms, including high-power busways, power taps, and direct liquid-cooling handoffs.
• Author ICDs and Form, Fit, and Function standards to ensure modular interoperability across building blocks and power systems.
• Direct outside A&E consultants and synthesize cross-functional requirements into buildable data hall designs.
