Job summary

Google is hiring a Data Center Controls Engineer Lead to define system-level product architecture and drive R&D for our AI and machine-learning data centers. You will be the primary technical authority for electrical and mechanical controls, working with operations and maintenance teams to ensure reliable, efficient facilities.

You will leverage BMS, EPMS, and ICS expertise to lead cross-discipline projects, resolve design ambiguities, and guide the implementation of state-of-the-art data center

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
• 10 years of experience on critical infrastructure projects related to process improvements.
• Experience with mission-critical systems (24x7 and no-fail) and operations (e.g., data centers, power generation, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Define system-level product architecture, and drive R&D with operations and maintenance teams.
• Drive controls engineering analysis and design for data center equipment and facilities.
• Ensure designs meet evolving business requirements for AI/ML data centers.
• Act as the definitive technical contact to resolve sequence ambiguities and verify design intent.
• Lead cross-discipline teams to deliver advanced controls projects with technical direction.
