Job summary

Google is seeking a Data Center Controls Engineer Lead to define system-level product architecture and drive R&D for our advanced technology data centers. You will lead electrical and mechanical controls engineering analysis and ensure designs meet evolving AI/ML infrastructure requirements, with expertise in BMS, EPMS, and ICS.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
• 10 years of experience working on critical infrastructure projects related to process improvements.
• Experience with mission-critical systems (24x7 and no-fail) and operations (e.g., power generation, data center, refinery, chip fabrication, chemical plant processing, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Define system-level product architecture, and drive R&D, while helping to partner with operations and maintenance teams for systems/processes.
• Drive electrical and mechanical controls system related engineering analysis and design development for data center equipment and facilities.
• Ensure designs and solutions meet evolving business requirements for AI/ML data centers.
• Act as the definitive technical point of contact to resolve ambiguities in the sequence of operations and verify compliance with design intent.
• Lead cross-discipline engineering teams to implement and deliver advanced controls engineering projects through authoritative technical direction.
