Job summary

Google LLC seeks a Share Data Center Mechanical Design Engineer to lead the end-to-end design of mechanical systems for hyperscale data centers. You will gather requirements, generate concepts, perform detailed design analyses, verify through testing, and drive manufacturing releases for complex cooling and infrastructure equipment.

You will work with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with codes, optimize efficiency, and deliver robust, scalable solutions for multiple locations

Qualifications

• Required Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or related discipline.
• 5 years of experience in mission critical facility design and construction environments.
• Experience in mechanical infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Create test plans, perform testing, and validate designs to meet engineering requirements.
• Troubleshoot, root cause, and resolve potential technical challenges; influence roadmap with data-driven decisions.
• Identify and scope projects around innovation opportunities and technology risks.
• Provide technical mentorship and coaching within the team.
