Job summary

EOS IT Solutions seeks a Data Center Network Operations Lead to supervise hardware repair and troubleshooting across large‑scale environments. You will guide a team of technicians, diagnose via CLI, manage escalations, and ensure SLA‑driven service delivery in a fast‑paced setting.

The role requires deep experience with server/storage/network hardware, fiber optics, and 24/7 operations. Up to 10% travel domestically may be required as part of site coverage.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher in a technical discipline or equivalent hands‑on experience in data center operations or IT support.
• 5+ years of IT support, hardware diagnostics, and repair in enterprise environments.
• 2+ years of people management, supervisory, team lead, mentoring, or equivalent experience demonstrating increasing responsibility.

Responsibilities

• Lead operations across server, storage, and network hardware platforms with timely resolution of hardware failures.
• Perform advanced diagnostics using CLI tools (Cisco IOS, NX-OS, Linux shell) to identify and resolve issues.
• Oversee physical hardware repair including component replacements (drives, memory, NICs, PSUs, fans, motherboards).
• Troubleshoot Layer 1–3 network issues (port failures, fiber cabling, link flaps, misconfigurations).
• Provide guidance for fiber splicing activities (single‑mode, multi‑mode, ribbon).
• Support testing/validation using OTDR, OLTS, power meters, visual fault locators.
• Review OTDR traces, loss budgets, and certification results; assist in issue resolution.
