Job summary

Gilbane Building is seeking a Senior MEP Professional - Data Center to originate and lead all MEP processes on a project, delivering on-time and within budget while prioritizing safety and quality.

You will collaborate with design teams, subcontractors, and clients, applying leadership, risk management, and hands-on commissioning expertise to drive successful data center construction. This role is on-site at a Charlotte-area project.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• 5-10 years of experience.
• Data center field construction experience preferred.
• OSHA 30 hour certification.
• Or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Originates MEP Scopes of Work and participates in scope review meetings.
• Originates MEP installation and commissioning activities within the Project Schedule.
• Trains others on MEP systems.
• Determines the MEP subcontracting strategies for a project.
• Develops MEP bid package schedule with input from the design team and owner.
• Tracks progress of the MEP coordination process and ensures the deliverable meets contract requirements.
• Coaches and mentors less experienced team members.
• Supports a positive and inclusive work environment.
• Collaborates closely with business development to ensure seamless integration with sales strategies including performance metrics on your assigned projects, pursuits, and client deliverables.
