Job summary

Gilbane Building Company in Columbus, OH seeks a Senior MEP Professional - Data Center to originate and lead all MEP processes on a major data center project. You will manage design coordination, installation, commissioning, and risk management while guiding a team of engineers.

The role requires a Bachelor's or Master’s in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, 5–10 years of experience, OSHA 30, and data center construction knowledge.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• 5–10 years of experience.
• Data center field construction experience preferred.
• OSHA 30 hour certified.
• Or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Originates MEP Scopes of Work and participates in scope review meetings.
• Originates MEP installation and commissioning activities within the Project Schedule.
• Trains others on MEP systems.
• Determines the MEP subcontracting strategies for a project.
• Develops MEP bid package schedule with input from the design team and owner.
• Tracks progress of the MEP coordination process and ensures the deliverable meets contract requirements.
• Coaches and mentors less experienced team members.
• Supports a positive and inclusive work environment.
• Collaborates closely with business development to ensure seamless integration with sales strategies including performance metrics on your assigned projects, pursuits, and client deliverables.
