Job summary

Gilbane Building Company seeks a Senior MEP Professional - Data Center to originate and lead all MEP processes on a data center project, coordinating with design and operations teams to deliver critical systems on schedule.

This role requires strong leadership in mechanical, electrical, and plumbing disciplines, robust knowledge of BIM coordination, and a track record of managing subcontractors and commissioning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• 5-10 years of data center construction experience.
• OSHA 30 hour certified.

Responsibilities

• Originates MEP Scopes of Work and participates in scope review meetings.
• Originates MEP installation and commissioning activities within the Project Schedule.
• Trains others on MEP systems.
• Determines the MEP subcontracting strategies for a project.
• Develops MEP bid package schedule with input from the design team and owner.
• Tracks progress of the MEP coordination process and ensures the deliverable meets contract requirements.
• Coaches and mentors less experienced team members.
• Supports a positive and inclusive work environment.
• Collaborates closely with business development to ensure seamless integration with sales strategies including performance metrics.
