Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle Incorporated (JLL) seeks a Lead Engineer, Data Centers to oversee critical facility operations in LaGrange, GA. You will lead technical teams and ensure reliability, performance, and compliance of power, cooling and network infrastructure for mission-critical environments.

You will work with the Chief and Assistant Chief Engineer, manage maintenance schedules, respond to incidents, mentor staff, and coordinate with contractors to optimize efficiency and safety.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in data center operations and management.
• Strong knowledge of data center infrastructure including power distribution, cooling, and network architecture.
• Familiarity with ASHRAE, TIA, and Uptime Institute standards.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills; strong leadership abilities.
• Valid certification in at least one area (e.g., CDCP, DCPRO) or equivalent; PE license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing data center facility operations and maintenance activities.
• Supervise and mentor technical staff, engineers, technicians, and contractors.
• Monitor and analyze critical systems performance (power, cooling, network).
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules and procedures.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure safety, security, and regulatory compliance.
• Participate in capacity planning and infrastructure upgrade projects.
• Respond to incidents and emergencies; provide after-hours support as needed.
• Prepare technical reports and presentations for management and clients.
