Job summary

JLL is seeking a Lead Engineer for Data Centers in LaGrange, GA. The role leads a maintenance team responsible for critical environments, ensures uptime of essential systems, and coordinates contractor work.

Requirements include a SMA license and Universal CFC certification, hands-on data center experience, and strong communication skills. The position requires lifting up to 50 lbs and the ability to work varied shifts.

Qualifications

• High School diploma/GED + 5+ years supervisory experience.
• Operating Engineers license (SMA) and Universal CFC Technician Certification.
• Hands‑on data center experience with UPS systems, generators, and switchgear.
• Strong communication skills and Microsoft Office proficiency.
• Physical ability to lift 50+ lbs., climb ladders to 30 ft, and work at heights.
• Flexibility to work varied schedules, holidays, and respond to emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Supervise maintenance staff, delegate tasks, and monitor performance.
• Manage service requests efficiently with minimal disruption.
• Direct contracted maintenance work and oversee warranty fulfillment.
• Implement and schedule preventative maintenance program.
• Order parts/equipment and maintain inventory.
• Maintain, monitor, and perform preventive maintenance on all critical systems: fire/life safety, HVAC, plumbing, electrical (lighting, UPS, PDU, generators, switchgear), emergency backup, boilers, refrigeration, and water systems.
• Record readings, analyze operations, diagnose problems, and take corrective action.
• Additional duties as requested.
