Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle is seeking a Building Engineer to support data center operations in Columbus, GA. You will maintain critical infrastructure including UPS, generators, switchgear, HVAC, and plumbing to sustain 100% uptime.

You will monitor systems, perform preventive maintenance, document readings, and use CMMS to manage work orders and escalations while coordinating with vendors and internal teams on site safety and reliability.

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience working in a data center/critical facility.
• Experience with building systems, including UPS systems, emergency generators, and switchgears.
• Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills.
• Familiarity with MS Office, Google Suite and CMMS software.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, monitor, and perform preventive maintenance to ensure 100% uptime of building systems.
• Manage fire/life safety, HVAC, chillers, CRAH/CRAC, plumbing, controls, electrical backup systems, and related equipment.
• Record readings, troubleshoot issues, and take corrective action as needed.
• Utilize CMMS for work orders, vendor management, and customer-facing tickets.
• Understand and follow emergency escalation procedures and site safety guidelines.
