Job summary

JLL is seeking an Assistant Chief Engineer, Data Centers to oversee on-site facility operations in Columbus, Georgia. The role focuses on managing critical data center infrastructure, leading technical staff, and coordinating maintenance and capacity planning.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of data center operations experience.
• Strong knowledge of data center infrastructure including power, cooling, and networks.
• Familiar with ASHRAE, TIA, and Uptime Institute standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist with management and coordination of data center facility operations and maintenance.
• Supervise and mentor engineers, technicians, and contractors.
• Monitor performance of critical systems (power, cooling, network).
• Develop preventive maintenance schedules and procedures.
• Ensure safety, security, and regulatory standards compliance.
