Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. in Avondale, AZ seeks a Data Center Construction Manager to lead electrical and mechanical data center projects. You will drive cost, schedule, and quality while coordinating vendors and contractors on site.

You will interface with GCs, review bids, manage documentation, and ensure constructability and safety across multi-site data centers. This role advances AWS infrastructure globally.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or 4+ years of construction/project management experience.
• 5+ years of construction management of large, complex projects involving large-scale mechanical, electrical and plumbing plants.
• 4+ years in contractor and vendor management (RFPs, bids, change orders, QC, RFIs) associated with construction.
• 4+ years constructing electrical systems (power distribution/GEN gear) and cooling systems.

Responsibilities

• Direct interface with construction general contractors during bidding, award, execution, and closeout phases.
• Negotiate with general contractors and evaluate bids/proposals with detail and accuracy.
• Create construction project scope and issue RFQs.
• Perform financial analysis of construction projects.
• Manage construction projects to increase data center resiliency.
