Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. in Pennsylvania seeks a Data Center Construction Manager to lead construction project management for new data centers and capital projects.

You will own scope, schedule, budget, and quality, coordinating with general contractors and internal teams to drive cost control and timely delivery. Responsibilities include interfacing with contractors, evaluating bids, and ensuring constructability and documentation accuracy, while supporting energy-efficient, scalable data

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience carrying new design concepts through exploration, development, and into deployment or mass production.
• Experience in MS Excel, Word, and Windows Operating Systems.
• Experience with power management and power monitoring systems.

Responsibilities

• Direct interface with construction general contractors during bidding, award, execution, and closeout phases.
• Negotiate with general contractors and evaluate bids/proposals.
• Create construction project scope and request for proposals.
• Perform financial analysis of construction.
• Manage construction projects to increase resiliency of data centers.
• Conduct constructability reviews of electrical and mechanical designs.
• Manage construction documents including submittals, RFIs, change orders, and invoicing.
• Ensure construction project quality control.
• Record and report key construction metrics to team and management.
• Lead teams to troubleshoot and perform root-cause analysis of equipment failures.
