Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is hiring a Data Center Construction Manager to lead on‑site electrical and mechanical systems for AWS data centers. You will drive cost, schedule, and quality while coordinating with Operations, Security, Networking, and Commissioning teams to deliver reliable facilities.

The role emphasizes ownership from design review through construction bidding to final hand‑off, with a focus on building energy‑efficient data centers and maintaining high safety standards.

Qualifications

• Experience carrying new design concepts through exploration, development, and into deployment or mass production.
• Proficient with MS Excel, Word, and Windows operating systems.
• Experience with power management and power monitoring systems.

Responsibilities

• Direct interface with construction general contractors during bidding and execution.
• Negotiate and evaluate bids/proposals with detail and accuracy.
• Create construction project scope and requests for proposals.
• Perform financial analysis of construction.
• Manage construction projects to increase data center resiliency.
• Review electrical and mechanical design constructability for new or optimized centers.
• Manage construction documents including submittals, RFIs, change orders, invoicing.
• Ensure construction quality control and report key metrics.
• Lead teams and coordinate with internal/external groups on data center projects.
