Job summary

Databricks is hiring a Solutions Architect to own the technical strategy for customers, shaping architecture discussions, and driving platform adoption. You will position Databricks as the core of customers’ data and AI initiatives.

You will lead end-to-end architectural efforts across data engineering, ML/AI, and real-time analytics, influencing product direction with customer feedback and competitive insights. This role requires strong Python/SQL skills and cloud deployment experience.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in solutions architecture or similar senior technical roles.
• Strong coding in Python and SQL with live coding ability.
• Deep expertise in distributed data systems architecture (pipelines, lakehouse, streaming).
• Experience deploying on public clouds (AWS, Azure, GCP) and governance aspects.
• Excellent communication translating architectures to business value.
• Bachelor's or Master's in CS/Engineering or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end technical strategy for accounts from discovery to production deployment.
• Lead complex architecture discussions across data engineering, ML/AI, and analytics.
• Serve as trusted technical advisor to customer architects and Directors.
• Drive technical wins via custom-built solutions and architecture reviews.
• Develop emerging technical specialization and share domain expertise across team.
• Coordinate cross-functional resources (DSAs, SSAs, Partners) to deliver solutions.
