Job summary

Databricks is seeking a Solutions Architect to lead the technical strategy for customers, owning architecture discussions, driving platform adoption, and serving as a trusted advisor to customer technical leads and architects.

You will design scalable, production-grade data and AI solutions across data engineering, ML/AI, and real-time analytics, influencing product direction and driving platform adoption within accounts.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in solutions architecture, data engineering, technical pre-sales, or senior hands‑on technical role
• Strong coding proficiency in Python and SQL with live coding and troubleshooting
• Deep expertise in distributed data systems architecture: pipelines, streaming, lakehouse, cloud-native platforms
• Proven ability to lead architecture discussions with senior technical stakeholders and perform design reviews
• Experience with production deployments on AWS, Azure, or GCP, including security and governance considerations
• Track record of driving platform adoption and consumption growth within accounts

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end technical strategy for accounts from discovery to deployment and growth
• Lead complex architecture discussions spanning data engineering, ML/AI, and real-time analytics
• Serve as a trusted technical advisor to customer architects and engineering leads
• Drive technical wins by showcasing Databricks differentiation through solutions
• Develop an emerging technical specialization to become a go-to resource for the team
• Orchestrate cross-functional resources to deliver comprehensive solutions for complex needs
• Influence product direction by providing feedback on customer requirements and gaps
